I am Jamie Ray.  As you can tell from the title of this blog, I have an issue with pronouns, and I have a really cute dog, Gracie.  I live on the border of trans* and butch.  I live with my dog and my partner.

Gracie doesn’t care about my identity issues; Donna wants me to stay on the butch side of the border.  I guess we will all see how that plays out.

I’ve been this way since I can remember, so this isn’t about transitioning from one place to another.  As Popeye would say “I am what I am”.  I am shy about my boy-ness/masculinity, even though it is blatantly obvious to the world, and I am completely unable to hide it.  I am most myself when I am with a dog.  When I go out with Gracie, I am a boy with her dog.
